On Saturday the 10th of July Te Hautoka 2021 (Southland/Otago Secondary Schools Regional Kapa Haka Competition) was held in the Dunedin Town Hall. It was the culmination of 6 months of intense training and commitment by our Kapa Haka on display in the heat of the flames of fierce competition. Despite not placing in the event, our students maintained the mana and integrity of their school and whānau with grace, poise and assuredness, both on and off the stage. We are so proud of their efforts and conduct. So much positive feedback has been received about the performance and energy of our
Kapa Haka.
The biggest thank you to Tania Neho, Jesse Tonga, Jacinta Kerepeti-Gilbert and Aaron Davis for leading and tutoring the group. Also to our own Kaytlin Tomlins for accompanying the Kapa.
