We were excited to hold this special school event after Covid had prevented us from holding the competition in 2021 and during term one of 2022. Each House did an outstanding job, including unique aspects in their performance to ensure their haka stood out. The passion, precision and volume of all Houses’ performances was awesome. After some robust discussions among the judges, Menzies were celebrated as the winners of the House Haka competition in 2022. The afternoon finished with a rousing whole school haka (apologies to any terrified neighbours of the school). A huge thanks to our guest judges from the Senior Campus who did a thorough job evaluating the merits of each haka. We are incredibly proud of all students who participated and thank all whānau who attended for their support.
