Two exciting lunchtimes took place to round out Maths week for 2021. In this event house spirit and Maths prowess combined. A junior competition and a senior competition were held where each house was able to contribute three teams of four members each. The groups were given a problem to solve and the runner raced their way around a running track to get to the markers and back to their table to re-examine an incorrect answer or begin the next question. It was an hour of hilarity alongside impressive thinking. Those runners ran quite a fair distance in a relatively short space of time and were looking rather sweaty heading off to class for period 5.
The results of the junior and senior competitions were combined to find the Maths Olympics champions:
1st Hamilton
2nd Menzies
3rd Watson
4th Thomson
