Year 12 Students Excel in Chemistry Olympiad

This year, six of our dedicated Year 12 students—Samuel Elder, Calin Grice, Hailey Macpherson, Andrew Roulston, Natalie Snoek, and Megan Wheeler—took part in the prestigious Chemistry Olympiad NZ. The Chemistry Olympiad is a national competition that challenges students to extend their understanding of chemistry beyond the classroom. It involves rigorous training and assessments, pushing participants to tackle advanced chemical concepts and problem-solving. Special congratulations to Samuel, Calin, and Andrew, who achieved Bronze Awards, earning them a place in the next round. This accomplishment means they will have the opportunity to take part in more intensive training and further assessments, which could potentially lead to representing New Zealand in the International Chemistry Olympiad. Their hard work and dedication have truly paid off, and we are excited to see where their journey in chemistry will take them! Pic. below L-R: Calin, Samuel and Andrew.
