| Performance details | The Young Jazz Band-it competitions, supported by Youthtown, have been developed to support jazz music programmes and jazz understanding through the distribution of New Zealand inspired, popular compositions arranged for secondary and intermediate school jazz ensembles.
Created by Youthtown and the Aotearoa Jazz Education & Performance Charitable Trading Trust Inc. (CC56767) in association with Musicworks NZ and Victoria University of Wellington/Te Koki New Zealand School of Music, this is a programme for High School and Intermediate School Jazz Bands. The 10 top bands are invited to perform at the grand final along with the finalists in the Jazz Composition and Jazz Improvisation competitions. |
