This registration cost covers equipment, affiliation fees, hire and player development levies and entry into the stadium. 

If you are paying by cash please PAY AT THE SCHOOL OFFICE by placing it in an envelope marked with your child’s name, sport and StudenIt ID.

( Please note: In order to play, subscription must be paid at the school office or online before Friday 30 August .  If this is not possible please contact Office Manger at execjunior@jameshargest.school.nz to arrange a payment plan).

TRIALS

Trials are held to assess the players on their basic skills and knowledge of the game to determine what team they will be in.  All children who wish to play will be placed in a team either in their year level or a mix of year 7 & 8’s.  These selections will be taken in year levels so please note when your child’s trial date will be.

TRIALS:

Year 8 players – Thursday 21 March and Tuesday 26 March

Year 7 players – Monday 25 and Wednesday 27 March.

It is preferred that they attend both days but if unable to attend any, alternative arrangements can be made.  Trials are held outside and won’t be cancelled so please make sure that your child has warm clothing to put on.  

Parents/Caregivers please be at James Hargest Junior Campus by 5.00pm to pick up your child in case the trials finish early. 

UNIFORM: JHC black skirt (will be handed out before the first game); school P.E top, white socks, full black briefs and appropriate sports footwear.

COACHES, MANAGERS AND VOLUNTEER HELPERS – This year we are expecting up to ten teams.  In order for the season to run smoothly for each team, coaches and managers are required (some have already indicated their interest).   NB: Coaching involves taking the team for regular practices, and attending games and umpiring your team  on a Saturday etc.  There will also be coaching support readily available to assist and support beginning coaches.

We welcome those parents and caregivers who are keen to coach, manage or help with a school team 

Police Vetting forms can be done at the Main Office (Police Vetting can only be carried out with the signed consent of the person being vetted. Consent is provided by completing the Request and Consent form. You will need to provide at least two forms of identity documents.  At least one form must be photographic ID (e.g. Passport, Firearms Licence).
